INDONESIA AGREED ON SEVERAL UPSTREAM OIL AND GAS DEALS AT ADIPEC 2026
SKK Migas (Indonesia’s Special Task Force for Upstream Oil and Gas Business Activities) announced several strategic cooperation agreements at the Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference (ADIPEC) 2026, underscoring Indonesia’s commitment to expanding international collaboration in the upstream oil and gas sector. The agreements include an MoU between PT Pertamina Drilling Services Indonesia and Halliburton Worldwide Ltd., an offshore support vessel charter contract between PT Pelayaran Nasional Ekalya Purnamasari (ELPI) Samudra Offshore and Atlantic Maritime Group FZE, as well as partnerships involving PT Hidrokinetik Indo Pacific, PT Luas Birus Utama, and Tara Industries LLC to support surveying, mapping, and reservoir stimulation activities in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. According to Djoko Siswanto, Head of SKK Migas, the agreements reflect Indonesia’s openness to global investment and come amid strong momentum in the country’s upstream energy sector. Upstream oil and gas investment reached US$14.9 billion in 2025 and is projected to increase to US$17.87 billion in 2026, marking the highest level in a decade. During ADIPEC 2026, SKK Migas also promoted investment opportunities across Indonesia’s 128 sedimentary basins, including 65 unexplored basins, highlighting the significant potential for new discoveries, production growth, and stronger national energy security through international investment and technology partnerships.Source: https://en.antaranews.com/news/440111/indonesia-agreed-on-several-upstream-oil-and-gas-deals-at-adipec-2026 (ICE GIACARTA)
