BATAM RECORDED INVESTMENT REALIZATION OF IDR 59.8 TRILLION UP TO THE 3RD QUARTER
The Batam Investment Agency (BP) in Riau island, Indonesia, reported investment realization of IDR 59.8 trillion through the third quarter of 2026, equivalent to 85.4 percent of its annual target of IDR 70 trillion. According to Fary Djemy Francis, Deputy for Investment at BP Batam, the agency is confident that investment realization will exceed the annual target by year-end. He emphasized that Batam’s attractiveness is driven not only by its strategic location near Singapore, available land, and workforce, but also by improved regulatory certainty and investor services. Batam’s strong investment performance has been supported by economic growth of more than 7.2 percent in the first half of 2026, surpassing Indonesia’s national growth rate of 5.5 percent. BP Batam is also overseeing several major investment projects, including the Wiraraja Green Renewable Energy & Smart Eco Industrial Park in Galang, with a first-phase investment of US$500 million, and an industrial estate development by PT Galang Bumi Industri valued at Rp175 trillion. In addition, the development of the Tanjung Sauh Special Economic Zone (KEK) is progressing. BP Batam Chairman Amsakar Achmad said the best promotion for Batam is the success of investors who choose to reinvest and expand their operations in the region.Source: https://www.antaranews.com/berita/5817187/bp-batam-catat-realisasi-investasi-rp598-triliun-hingga-triwulan-iii (ICE GIACARTA)
