DANANTARA EYES US$30 BILLION TO ACCELERATE INDONESIA'S INDUSTRY GROWTH
Danantara, Indonesia’s investment management agency, is seeking to attract between US$20 billion and US$30 billion in strategic industrial investments over the next two to three years to accelerate national industrial transformation. Speaking at the Danantara Technology Innovation Investment Forum (DTIIF) 2026, Chief Technology Officer Sigit Puji Santosa said the agency has prepared a pipeline of more than 40 projects spanning six key sectors: energy; food and health technology; infrastructure, mobility and telecommunications; defense, maritime and aerospace; advanced materials; and electronics, machinery, fintech, and semiconductors. The initiative focuses on increasing value-added production through downstream processing and advanced manufacturing rather than relying on raw material exports. Danantara’s plans include a 100-GW solar power program, nuclear energy projects, EV battery supply chains, a 1-GW data center, sovereign cloud computing, AI development, semiconductor initiatives, and stronger domestic pharmaceutical and vaccine production. The agency also intends to develop 10 smart cities and a technology corridor linking semiconductor, EV, defense, and electronics industries. According to Sigit Puji Santosa, Danantara aims to move beyond MoUs by building new industries through partnerships with domestic and international companies, universities, and research institutions. The push comes amid strong investment growth, with Indonesia recording Rp480 trillion (US$26.7 billion) in downstream investment during January–September 2026, up 11.3 percent year-on-year.Source: https://en.antaranews.com/news/438003/danantara-eyes-us30-billion-to-accelerate-indonesias-industry-growth?utm_source=antaranews&utm_medium=mobile&utm_campaign=latest_category (ICE GIACARTA)
