DANANTARA INDONESIA SECURES 34 LENDERS FOR WTE PIPELINE

Indonesia’s sovereign wealth fund initiative, Danantara Indonesia, has established a lenders panel comprising 34 domestic and international financial institutions to support the financing of its national Waste-to-Energy (WtE) infrastructure programme. Through its subsidiaries, Danantara Investment Management (DIM) and Daya Energi Bersih Nusantara (Denera), the panel will assess funding capacity and develop financing structures for projects under Presidential Regulation No. 109 of 2025. Early market interest has been strong, with indicative financing commitments exceeding three times the programme’s estimated debt requirements, signalling robust confidence from both local and global investors. According to Stefanus Ade Hadiwidjaja, Managing Director of Investment at DIM, the formation of the lenders panel is a key milestone that will help map lenders’ appetite and tailor financing solutions to individual projects. The panel includes multilateral development banks, climate fund managers, international project finance institutions, state-owned banks, and Islamic lenders, creating a broad funding base for Indonesia’s green infrastructure ambitions. Meanwhile, M. Ramadhan Harahap, CFO of Denera, expressed hopes that the collaboration will evolve into long-term partnerships supporting future WtE projects. The selection process, managed by Indonesia Infrastructure Finance (IIF), was based on execution capability, strategic alignment, and financial strength to ensure transparency and long-term sustainability.Source: https://rri.co.id/en/business/2819335/danantara-secures-34-lenders-for-wte-pipeline (ICE GIACARTA)
