INDONESIA'S DANANTARA-BACKED NEW ASIA FORUM TARGETS US$30 BILLION IN INVESTMENT
Indonesia will host the inaugural New Asia Forum in Bali on December 3-4, 2026, with organizers targeting US$30 billion in investment commitments across strategic sectors in Asia. Jointly organized by Danantara Indonesia and Richard Attias & Associates, the forum aims to connect global long-term capital with investment-ready projects in Indonesia and the broader region. More than 1,000 participants, including government leaders, sovereign wealth funds, and business executives, are expected to attend, with discussions focused on turning investment opportunities into concrete transactions rather than networking alone. The forum will prioritize eight sectors: natural resources and downstream processing, energy, advanced manufacturing, digital infrastructure and AI, food and agribusiness, trade and connectivity, tourism and the creative economy, and education. Rosan Roeslani, CEO of Danantara Indonesia, said the event is designed to deepen investment partnerships and channel international capital into projects with long-term economic potential. Organizers see the forum as a recurring platform to accelerate investment decisions and support major economic development projects across Asia, a region that generates nearly 60% of global economic growth but attracts a comparatively smaller share of long-term international capital.Source: https://jakartaglobe.id/business/danantarabacked-new-asia-forum-targets-30-billion-in-investment (ICE GIACARTA)
