INDONESIA SHOWCASES VALUE-ADDED FOOD INNOVATIONS AT FAO IN ROME

Indonesia showcased a range of value-added agricultural products and food innovations at the  the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) From Seeds to Foods Exhibition in Rome, Italy, to expand export opportunities and boost farmers’ incomes. The exhibition highlighted Indonesia’s commitment to food self-sufficiency, agricultural downstreaming, and international cooperation, featuring products such as beneng taro, gedong gincu mangoes, nutmeg, cloves, swiftlet nests, honey, coffee, tropical fruit chips, and moringa-based food and beverage products. The event also demonstrated Indonesia’s collaboration with the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) in strengthening agricultural commodities and smallholder farmer capacity. Programs supporting banana and mango farmers have helped improve productivity, product quality, sustainability, and market readiness through international knowledge-sharing initiatives. The exhibition underscored the strong export potential of Indonesia’s agricultural sector, supported by robust coffee and nutmeg export performance in recent years.Source: https://en.antaranews.com/news/435126/indonesia-showcases-value-added-food-innovations-at-fao-in-rome?utm_source=antaranews&utm_medium=mobile&utm_campaign=latest_category (ICE GIACARTA)
