In the 2025/2026 marketing year, grain and flour exports in grain equivalent totaled 15.5 million tonnes," the ministry said.Shipments went to Central Asia, the Middle East, North Africa and Europe.Positive momentum is continuing in the current 2026-2027 marketing year, according to the ministry. In the first 20 days of September 2026, grain exports rose 10% year-on-year to 674,000 tonnes.Grain exports to Uzbekistan totaled 319,000 tonnes, up 20% from the same period last year. Shipments to Tajikistan reached 116,000 tonnes (+21%), while exports to China amounted to 101,000 tonnes, a 150% increase.The ministry had earlier projected grain exports of 13 million tonnes for the 2025/2026 marketing year, roughly unchanged from a year earlier.Kazakhstan increased grain production by 2% to 27 million tonnes in 2025, with yields of 1.7 tonnes per hectare, compared with 1.6 tonnes per hectare in 2024.
