KADIN HIGHLIGHTS USD 2.3 TRILLION GLOBAL ENERGY TRANSITION INVESTMENT POTENTIAL for Indonesia

The Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) emphasizes that Indonesia holds a strong opportunity to capture a share of global energy transition investments, which reached a record USD 2.3 trillion in 2025. Kadin Chairman Anindya Bakrie stated that the energy transition is no longer just a climate change initiative, but a core component of economic competitiveness, energy security, and industrial strategy. Backed by abundant renewable resources, critical minerals, a large domestic market, and growing electric vehicle, battery, biofuel, and geothermal sectors, Indonesia's path toward net zero is projected to unlock up to USD 3.8 trillion in investment opportunities by 2050.   To capitalize on this potential, Anindya outlined three main strategic priorities: ensuring the energy transition strengthens national energy security through reliable and affordable low-carbon power, capturing greater value-added economic benefits by transitioning from raw material exports to green industrialization, and closing the gap between capital availability and bankable projects through clear regulations and strong public-private collaboration. Under the "Indonesia Incorporated" spirit, Kadin encourages unified cooperation between the government, state-owned enterprises, private firms, financial institutions, and international investors to drive sustainable, large-scale industrial growth.Source: https://www.antaranews.com/berita/5772481/ri-berpeluang-kuat-tarik-investasi-energi-bersih-23-triliun-dolar-as (ICE GIACARTA)
