INDONESIA-CHINA CULINARY COOPERATION EXPANDS THROUGH VOCATIONAL TRAINING, Kitchen Upgrades, and Food Industry Trade

Culinary and trade cooperation between Indonesia and China continues to strengthen through vocational education, chef exchanges, and business networking. From September 16–19, 2026, ten Chinese food enterprises participated in the Liangzhilong Indonesia Global Food Ingredients Trade Festival in Jakarta, spanning sectors such as seasonings, food machinery, packaging, and supply chain services. On the educational front, a 13-member delegation from East China's Jiangxi Province visited Bali in June 2026, where master chefs provided hands-on training in authentic Gan cuisine—such as Xiaochao rou (stir-fried pork) and Sanbeiji (Three-Cup Chicken)—to over 50 students and lecturers at the Bali Tourism Polytechnic. The collaboration was further bolstered by significant kitchen facility upgrades at the polytechnic to better suit Chinese cooking techniques, alongside support from the "Tiangong" International Vocational Education Consortium.   To solidify this ongoing partnership, the Jiangxi Gan Cuisine Industry Development Promotion Association and the Bali Tourism Polytechnic officially inaugurated a representative office and an Overseas Incubation Base for Jiangxi Stir-Fry Cuisine in Bali. This hub supports skill training, professional exchanges, menu development, and market exploration among local restaurants. Looking ahead, the cross-border partnership is set to continue expanding, with representatives from the Bali Tourism Polytechnic scheduled to make a reciprocal visit to Jiangxi in January 2027 to further deepen institutional ties and joint programs.Source: https://www.antaranews.com/berita/5770574/kerja-sama-kuliner-indonesia-china-berkembang-lewat-pelatihan-industri?utm_source=antaranews&utm_medium=mobile&utm_campaign=latest_category (ICE GIACARTA)
