KP2MI EXPLORES CRUISE SHIP AND LOGISTICS EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES FOR INDONESIAN Migrant Workers

The Ministry for the Protection of Indonesian Migrant Workers (KP2MI) is actively exploring new job placement opportunities for Indonesian migrant workers within the global cruise ship and logistics sectors. Deputy Minister Christina Aryani met with representatives from MSC Cruises and visited the Bali Land Transportation Polytechnic (Poltrada) to inspect logistics management training programs. She emphasized that meeting global market demands requires close collaboration among the government, training institutions, and industry players to ensure workers gain the required competencies, including English proficiency. To make training models more adaptive to international employer needs, KP2MI plans to collaborate with local governments, educational bodies, and business entities to offer tailored and shorter-duration courses. Christina highlighted potential placement roles across international airports, seaports, manufacturing, and industrial sectors. These strategic initiatives aim to expand job placement avenues while elevating the quality and competitiveness of Indonesian human resources abroad.Source: https://www.antaranews.com/berita/5767956/kp2mi-jajaki-peluang-kerja-pmi-di-industri-kapal-pesiar-dan-logistik (ICE GIACARTA)
