EU Ambassador to Jordan Pierre-Christophe Chatzisavas emphasized the importance of the Jordan-EU partnership, noting the EU’s continued support for the Kingdom in areas such as economic and social stability, security, and investment. He highlighted support for addressing the repercussions of the Syrian refugee crisis, as well as backing for tourism, civil society, and political reforms.Speaking to a group of journalists yesterday evening, the Ambassador stated that relations between Jordan and the EU are characterized by extensive cooperation across numerous issues. He noted that the EU views the Kingdom as a pivotal partner in the region, particularly given current regional circumstances.Regarding the visit of a European Parliament delegation to Jordan, he indicated that the visit took place within the framework of the joint parliamentary meeting between the European Parliament and the Jordanian House of Representatives. The visit included meetings with officials, institutions, and civil society organizations to gain insight into the challenges facing the Kingdom, the political modernization process, and Jordan's stance on regional developments.On the subject of the Jordan-EU investment conference, the Ambassador stated that preparations are proceeding rapidly. Approximately 200 CEOs have registered to participate so far, more than half representing European companies, alongside the expected participation of European officials, commissioners, and ministers.
