India has ranked first in business climate among 41 global markets in the Global Business Climate Survey 2026 by the Swedish Chamber of Commerce in India. The survey provides insights into Swedish companies’ perspectives on doing business across international markets and compares economic performance, business outlook and operating conditions. The Swedish Chamber of Commerce India said its 2026 Business Climate Survey, based on insights from more than 200 Swedish companies in India, showed continued optimism about the Indian market, with most companies reporting profitability, plans to expand and a positive long-term outlook. At the same time, companies identified regulatory complexity, trade barriers and localisation requirements as factors influencing their approach to the Indian market. The survey provides insights into business conditions and expectations that can support companies evaluating international expansion and investment opportunities.
