CHINA’S AUGUST POWER USE TOPS 1 TRILLION KWH
China’s electricity consumption rose 1.7% YoY to 1.0332 trillion kWh in August 2026, with peak power load hitting a record 1.56 billion kW. Growth was driven by high-tech manufacturing and EV charging services, bringing Jan–Aug total power usage to 7.173 trillion kWh (+4.3% YoY). (ICE PECHINO)
