Hanwha Group could use Kazakhstan as tech platform for Central Asian markets - TokayevPresident Kassym-Jomart Tokayev met with Hanwha Group Vice Chairman Kim Dong-won during a state visit to Seoul to discuss investment and technology cooperation between Kazakhstan and South Korea, the presidential press service said.Tokayev said Kazakhstan highly values its strategic partnership with South Korea and sees Hanwha Group as a leading business group, with strong international standing in several key sectors.The president outlined Kazakhstan's large-scale efforts to build a national artificial intelligence ecosystem and develop digital infrastructure, and invited Hanwha Group to implement joint projects using Kazakhstan as a technological platform to enter Central Asian markets.Kim expressed interest in taking part in digitalization and pursuing projects in partnership with Kazakhstan. He noted that Hanwha Group was among the first Korean corporations to work with Kazakhstan, starting in 1997.Hanwha Group is one of South Korea's largest industrial conglomerates, operating in aerospace and defense, energy and shipbuilding, financial services and technology.
