Kazakhstan may extend grain transport subsidies into 2026/27 seasonKazakh authorities are considering extending subsidies for grain transportation costs into the 2026/27 agricultural year (September 2026 – August 2027),  Deputy Minister of Agriculture Nazgul Khatepova told Interfax-Kazakhstan."The ministry, together with other government agencies, is currently working on extending the rules for subsidizing grain transport costs and the rules for subsidizing national agricultural company's grain transport costs, approved by the agriculture minister's order of March 3, 2025," Khatepova said in response to a query.Previously, partial reimbursement of transport costs for exporters and producers was available for shipments made from Jan 1 to Sept 1, 2025. The subsidy period was later extended to Sept. 1, 2026.The compensation covers grain shipments via transit routes to ports on the Black, Azov and Baltic Seas, as well as to Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia. State support also applies to supplies through China to Southeast Asian destinations. Compensation ranges from 20,000 to 30,000 tenge per tonne, depending on the export destination. (ICE ALMATY)
