To support Africa's growing demand for cloud computing and AI workloads, MTN Digital Infrastructure has partnered with a UAE-based data center investment platform founded by Tarek Al Ashram to accelerate AI-ready digital infrastructure across the continent. Supporting MTN's Ambition 2030 strategy, the collaboration will operate through Africa Data Hub Holding Limited, initially targeting key markets in South Africa and Nigeria, while leveraging MTN's digital connectivity arm, Bayobab, for open-access network support. By combining MTN's African footprint with the UAE partner's data center expertise, the initiative aims to build resilient, scalable digital foundations that drive economic growth, innovation, and Africa's competitiveness in the global digital economy.
