Russia approved an updated automotive industry development strategy through 2035 to maximize production capacity. By 2030, technological independence targets are set at 80% for passenger cars and 90% for commercial vehicles.  First Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov stated that Russia plans to more than double vehicle exports by 2035 compared to 2026 levels. Annual exports are projected to rise from 29,700 units in 2026 to 49,700 in 2030, reaching nearly 70,000 units by 2035.  Target markets include neighboring countries, Central Asia, the Middle East, North Africa, Southeast Asia, and Latin America.
