INDONESIA RECORDS $3.70 BILLION TRADE SURPLUS FOR JAN–JUL 2026
Indonesia recorded a $3.70 billion trade surplus from January to July 2026, according to Statistics Indonesia (BPS). Cumulative exports reached $167.03 billion (up 4.43% yoy), driven mainly by the manufacturing sector ($137.26 billion), followed by mining ($19.60 billion) and agriculture ($3.15 billion). Total imports reached $163.33 billion (up 19.94% yoy), dominated by raw/auxiliary materials ($116.70 billion), capital goods ($32.46 billion), and consumer goods ($14.16 billion). For July 2026 alone, the trade surplus stood at $0.12 billion, with exports at $26.22 billion (up 6.05% yoy) and imports at $26.09 billion (up 27.02% yoy).
