The Balikpapan Refinery Development Master Plan (RDMP), a National Strategic Project, has entered its gradual commissioning phase under strict safety oversight. PT Kilang Pertamina Balikpapan (KPB) confirmed that key infrastructure is undergoing functional testing, including feeding raw materials into the Residual Fluid Catalytic Cracking (RFCC) unit to convert residue into high-value products. Following construction, testing covers piping checks, functional tests, and instrument calibration.
