FOREIGN BUSINESS REGISTRATIONS IN UKRAINE RISE 6% TO 709 IN SEVEN MONTHS OF 2026

Ukraine registered 709 new companies with foreign beneficiaries in the first seven months of 2026, up 6% from 672 a year earlier and up 24% from 574 in the same period of 2024, according to Opendatabot. Citizens of 65 countries are represented among the new owners, along with five stateless beneficiaries and 13 companies with owners from multiple countries.Chinese citizens topped the ranking for the first time, opening 114 new companies, nearly triple last year’s 41. Turkish citizens fell to second place with 98 firms, down 6% year-on-year. They were followed by American citizens with 62 companies, German citizens with 44 and Azerbaijani citizens with 35.Kyiv accounted for more than half of new foreign-owned businesses, with 360 registrations. Odesa region ranked second with 110, followed by Lviv region with 78.Wholesale trade drew nearly a quarter of new foreign-backed companies, with 167 registrations.
