UKRAINIAN IT EXPORTS TOPPED $3.3 BILLION IN FIRST HALF OF 2026, MORE THAN 41% OF SERVICES EXPORTS.
Ukraine’s IT sector remains one of the country’s main sources of foreign-currency earnings from services exports, bringing in $3.34 billion in the first six months of 2026, more than 41% of Ukraine’s total services exports, according to data cited by Danylo Hetmantsev, head of the Verkhovna Rada’s finance committee. The sector’s monthly performance fluctuated through the year but still ended the first half in positive territory. IT services exports totaled $3.21 billion over the same period last year, meaning this year’s figure was $133 million higher, a 4.14% increase. The United States remains the largest market, importing $193 million worth of IT services in June alone. Cyprus, Malta and the United Kingdom followed. Estonia, Switzerland, Poland, Israel, Germany and the United Arab Emirates round out the top ten markets. The IT Ukraine Association notes that these figures exclude the defense-tech segment, which is increasingly reaching international markets. “IT services exports do not include the DefenseTech direction, which is increasingly entering international markets. Therefore, the real contribution of the technology sector to the formation of Ukraine’s export potential is greater than the NBU’s computer services statistics demonstrate,” said Maria Shevchuk, CEO of the IT Ukraine Association.https://ubn.news/ukrainian-it-exports-topped-3-3-billion-in-first-half-of-2026-more-than-41-of-services-exports/ (ICE KIEV)
