WORLD BANK: JORDAN IMPLEMENTS 33 NEW REFORMS IN FIVE MONTHS UNDER REFORM MANAGEM

Jordan has implemented 33 new reforms in five months under the "Strengthening Reform Management in Jordan" project, bringing the total number of reforms implemented with the project's support from 148 in February 2026 to 181 in July, according to a recent World Bank report. The figure exceeds the project's final target of 120 reforms by a wide margin, nearly two years ahead of its scheduled completion date in June 2028. The report, translated by Al-Mamlaka TV, said the project currently has a $23.3 million grant, of which $17.23 million, or 73.95%, has been disbursed. The project has continued supporting reforms across 12 areas, including fiscal policy; public-sector efficiency and governance; the business and investment environment; trade and finance; labor-market development; social safety nets; transportation; energy; water; agriculture; and tourism.
