PT Lautan Luas Tbk has partnered with Greenvolt Power Indonesia to accelerate the adoption of solar energy across its operations as part of its long-term sustainability and energy transition strategy. The agreement, signed during Lautan Luas' 75th anniversary celebration, marks the company's shift from installing rooftop solar panels at individual subsidiaries to implementing a more integrated renewable energy program. According to President Director Indrawan Masrin, the initiative reflects Lautan Luas’ commitment to building a sustainable business ecosystem while enhancing operational resilience, reducing exposure to rising energy costs, and meeting increasing sustainability expectations from global customers and partners. Under the partnership, Greenvolt Power Indonesia will provide technical and commercial assessments, project development, financing solutions, construction oversight, operational maintenance, and ESG reporting support. Solar power systems will be installed at eight facilities in Greater Jakarta and East Java, generating an estimated 1.7 million kWh of clean electricity annually and reducing carbon emissions by about 1,400 metric tons of CO2e each year. The project, aligned with Lautan Luas’ Sustainability Roadmap 2022-2031, will be implemented in phases starting this year, with a second phase planned for 2027.
