Contractors included in Saudi Aramco's Long-Term Agreement (LTA) have submitted final bids for five major offshore tenders (CRPO 167-171) for the development of the Abu Safah, Berri, Manifa, Marjan, Safaniya and Zuluf oil fields. The initiative is testament to the steady acceleration of upstream investments by the Saudi energy giant, which last year surpassed $11 billion in offshore EPCI contracts. Recent awards and ongoing projects include billion-dollar contracts awarded to international players such as Saipem, McDermott and COOEC for the installation of subsea infrastructure and pipelines.
