INDONESIA'S SPORTSWEAR MARKET PROJECTED TO HIT US$3.3 BILLION BY 2030
Indonesia’s sportswear market is expected to grow from IDR 38.5 trillion in 2025 to IDR 58.6 trillion (US$3.3 billion) by 2030, creating major opportunities for local manufacturers, especially SMEs. Deputy Industry Minister Faisol Riza said the market expanded 8% year-on-year in 2025, reflecting strong demand and highlighting the need for domestic companies to strengthen their competitiveness and capture a larger share of both local and international markets. The government also sees growing export performance as a positive sign. In 2025, Indonesia’s apparel exports increased 2.7% to US$7.27 billion, while sporting goods exports rose 12% to US$306.3 million and cosmetics exports climbed 13.7% to US$473.8 million. Faisol cited local brand Speed, now the official apparel supplier for Indonesia’s national volleyball team, as an example of how Indonesian brands can compete with global players and expand their presence overseas.Source: https://jakartaglobe.id/business/indonesias-sportswear-market-projected-to-hit-33-billion-by-2030 (ICE GIACARTA)
