WORLD BANK LAUNCHES THREE FINANCING PROGRAMMES TO SUPPORT JORDAN'S ECONOMIC REFO
Since the beginning of the year, the World Bank has launched three new financing programmes in Jordan aimed at supporting social protection, healthcare reform, economic development, and private sector competitiveness, as part of its continued backing of the Kingdom's economic and social reform agenda. The initiatives fall under the World Bank's Country Partnership Framework for Jordan (2024–2029), which seeks to promote inclusive economic growth, create employment opportunities, improve the quality of public services, and strengthen the Jordanian economy's resilience to economic and social shocks. According to Al-Ghad newspaper, the new initiatives include three key programmes: the Resilient and Sustainable Social Protection Support Project, the Results-Based Health Sector Reform Programme, and the Second Development Policy Financing for Growth and Competitiveness Programme.
