Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Saleh Kharabsheh said on Sunday that production from the Risha gas field is projected to reach around 418 million cubic feet per day (MMcf/d) by 2029, exceeding the Jordanian electricity grid's current demand of approximately 330–340 million cubic feet per day. Kharabsheh said the ministry is working, in line with its strategic vision, the Economic Modernisation Vision, and the national plan to strengthen energy security at reasonable costs, to expand the delivery of natural gas to industrial clusters across the Kingdom. He added that the ministry aims to connect all industrial clusters to the natural gas network within the next three years, a move expected to enhance the competitiveness of the industrial sector by providing energy at more competitive prices.
