Minister of Industry, Trade and Supply, Ya'rub Qudah, announced the complete exemption of Jordanian exports of garment and textiles of all kinds to the United States from customs duties. In a statement, he noted this exemption comes within the framework of the Reciprocal Trade Agreement signed in Washington last Tuesday. Accordingly, apparel and textile products of all kinds will will enter the United States at zero customs duties, reflecting the agreement's provisions, which grant the clothing and textile sector "more preferential access" to the US market.
