CHINA’S H1 RETAIL SALES UP 1.3% TO OVER 24.8 TRILLION YUAN
China's retail sales of consumer goods reached 24.87 trillion yuan in the first half of 2026, a 1.3% year-on-year increase. Online retail acted as a key growth driver, rising 5.2% to surpass the 10-trillion-yuan threshold. In June alone, overall retail sales edged up 1.0% to 4.27 trillion yuan, supported by a 3.0% expansion in non-automobile consumption. (ICE PECHINO)
