Dubai Taxi Company (DTC) has officially completed its AED 1.45 billion ($394.8 million) acquisition of National Taxi LLC, cementing its status as the UAE's largest taxi operator with a combined fleet exceeding 9,500 vehicles. Marking DTC's first major transformational move since its initial public offering, the deal has secured all necessary regulatory approvals from Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority and Abu Dhabi's Integrated Transport Centre. Through this transaction, DTC expands its market share in Dubai to approximately 59% while securing a strategic 12% foothold in Abu Dhabi. Group CEO Mansoor Rahma Alfalasi highlighted that the acquisition is expected to boost earnings within its first full year of ownership via operational synergies without disrupting the company's dividend profile, effectively transitioning DTC into a powerful multi-emirate mobility platform.
