Dubai's Gross Domestic Product (GDP) expanded by 2.4 percent year-on-year to Dh232 billion in the first quarter of 2026.Growth was observed across several sectors, led by a 17.5 percent increase in human health and social work activities. The electricity, gas, and water supply sector grew by 8.4 percent, while construction grew by 8.2 percent, contributing Dh18.7 billion to the GDP. The real estate sector grew by 3.1 percent, generating Dh26 billion. Wholesale and retail trade remained the largest contributor to the economy, expanding 2.6 percent to Dh50.9 billion, representing approximately 22 percent of total GDP.Government officials attributed the quarterly performance to structural planning and public-private partnerships under the Dubai Economic Agenda (D33).
