Samsung HBM4 Tops $1 Billion in Revenue Four Months After Launch: Samsung Electronics (005930.KS) saw revenue from its HBM4, which it became the world's first to mass-produce in April this year, surpass $1 billion, with forecasts that it could achieve more than $10 billion this year. The development is seen as Samsung reclaiming the leadership it had ceded to SK hynix (000660.KS) in HBM3 and 3E, with demand visibility rising as the chips are scheduled to be installed in Nvidia's "Vera Rubin" in the second half. Samsung, SK hynix to Invest 300 Trillion Won in Gwangju Semiconductor Cluster: Samsung Electronics and SK hynix will invest more than 300 trillion won in Jeonnam-Gwangju Special City, which launches on the first of next month, to build an advanced semiconductor cluster including front-end and back-end memory chip processing and AI data centers. The investment plan is set to be officially announced at a presidential meeting on the 29th, with analysts saying that benefits to materials, equipment, and facility-related stocks will become visible as the domestic semiconductor ecosystem expands.
