The Indonesia National Air Carriers Association (INACA) and the Ministry of Transportation are holding the Indonesia Aero Summit (IAS) 2026 in Jakarta on Wednesday (July 8, 2026) to strengthen Indonesia’s aviation connectivity and competitiveness. INACA Chairman Denon Prawiraatmadja said the summit serves as a platform for collaboration among government agencies, industry players, and stakeholders to address economic and geopolitical challenges affecting the aviation sector. The goal is to enhance the aviation ecosystem, maintain passenger and cargo connectivity, and support sustainable economic growth through innovation and industry cooperation. The event brings together global aircraft manufacturers, investors, and aviation companies to promote partnerships, investment, and technology development in Indonesia. A key outcome of IAS 2026 was the signing of a cooperation agreement between Pertamina and Boeing to conduct trials of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF), supporting aviation decarbonization efforts.
