Indonesia's state-owned plantation company, Agrinas Palma Nusantara, is looking for investment partners to develop a cassava-based bioethanol business while advancing its renewable fuel expansion plans. The company is currently securing land and seeking strategic investors for a bioethanol plant targeted for completion by 2030, as part of its effort to diversify beyond biodiesel and support Indonesia’s energy security goals. At the same time, Agrinas plans to reactivate its biodiesel plant in Rengat, Riau, which has an annual production capacity of 600,000 tons. Instead of building a new facility, the company will refurbish the existing plant at a cost of less than IDR 300 billion (US$18.5 million).
