UKRAINIAN BUSINESSES MAINTAIN POSITIVE EXPECTATIONS FOR FOURTH CONSECUTIVE MONTH
Ukrainian businesses assessed their economic activity positively in June for the fourth consecutive month, according to a National Bank of Ukraine survey. The Business Activity Expectations Index stood at 50.4 in June, down from 52.1 in May, but still above the neutral 50-point level and slightly higher than 50.0 recorded in June 2025.The NBU said positive business sentiment was supported by increased international financial assistance, a gradual decline in fuel prices, a stable energy sector, steady consumer demand and seasonal factors. At the same time, business activity continued to be constrained by the destruction of production capacity, logistics and energy infrastructure, rising labor costs caused by a shortage of qualified workers, and a slight deterioration in inflation and exchange-rate expectations.Construction companies remained the most optimistic sector for the fourth consecutive month. The sectoral index stood at 54.5 in June, compared with 55.3 in May and 50.4 in June 2025.Businesses in industry, trade and services also reported positive expectations for future activity. The data suggests that Ukrainian companies remain cautiously optimistic despite wartime challenges, supported by stable demand, external financing and improved energy conditions.https://bank.gov.ua/ua/news/all/biznes-zberig-pozitivni-otsinki-rezultativ-svoyeyi-diyalnosti--pidsumki-opituvannya-pidpriyemstv-u-chervnihttps://ubn.news/ukrainian-businesses-maintain-positive-expectations-for-fourth-consecutive-month/ (ICE KIEV)
