Indonesia’s Ministry of Industry reported that the country’s 179 industrial estates have attracted Rp6,744.58 trillion in total investments, employing 2.35 million people, a 15% workforce increase since 2025. Spanning 101,351 hectares with a 57.2% occupancy rate, these hubs house 11,970 tenants. Industrial distribution is shifting, with over 61% of total land area now located outside of Java. Despite this growth, challenges remain regarding zoning, environmental regulations, infrastructure, logistics, and swift licensing.
