Singapore is set to gain additional subsea connectivity capacity as Tata Communications expands its network linking the country with India’s technology hubs. The company said it is strengthening its Tata Global Network (TGN) through new subsea cable investments, including a cable system connecting Mumbai and Singapore, as well as a consortium-led project linking Chennai and Singapore that is expected to be ready for service in the fourth quarter of 2029. The new route is expected to support growing data traffic between Singapore and India, driven by demand from cloud providers, data centres, enterprises, and AI infrastructure operators.
