NATION RAMPS UP ULTRA-DEEP GAS DEVELOPMENT
Sinopec’s Ziyang Dongfeng, China’s first major ultra-deep shale gas field in Sichuan Basin, got approval with 235.69 billion cubic meters proven reserves. Located 4,500-5,200 meters deep in ancient shale, it exploits hard-to-access resources with AI and domestic tech, strengthening China’s gas self-sufficiency and energy security. (ICE PECHINO)
