GLOBAL INVESTORS REAFFIRM CONFIDENCE IN INDONESIA’S ECONOMY

Global investors have shown strong confidence in Indonesia’s economy, demonstrated by the oversubscribed issuance of international bonds managed by BPI Danantara. According to Rohan Hafas, Managing Director for Stakeholder Management & Communications, investor demand reached USD 4.6 billion—over three times the offered amount. Major investors came from Europe, the Middle East, Africa, the United States, and Asia, reflecting trust in Indonesia’s stability and growth prospects. Long-term commitments of five to ten years highlight expectations that Indonesia’s economy will continue expanding. The funds raised will be directed toward strategic sectors, with job creation as a priority. Rohan cited the waste-to-energy program as an example of investments that combine technology with broad employment opportunities. He emphasized that Indonesia’s large domestic market, demographic growth, and consistent policies remain key attractions for investors. The government aims to secure long-term investments that strengthen industry, add value, and generate jobs, reinforcing positive indicators for the national economy.Source: https://rri.co.id/en/business/2505043/global-investors-reaffirm-confidence-in-indonesias-economy (ICE GIACARTA)
