Minister of Investment Tariq Abu Ghazaleh said on Wednesday that the Jordanian-European Investment Conference, scheduled to be held on November 19, marks a significant milestone in Jordanian-European relations following the elevation of ties to a comprehensive strategic partnership launched last year. Speaking to Al-Mamlaka TV, Abu Ghazaleh explained that the conference was initially scheduled for April but was postponed until the end of the year due to regional developments and logistical challenges, particularly those affecting transportation. He noted that the conference reflects a broader effort to move beyond traditional forms of cooperation between Jordan and the EU toward a deeper and more impactful economic and investment partnership. According to Abu Ghazaleh, this enhanced partnership carries important economic, social, and political dimensions and is expected to contribute to job creation, increased investment, and sustainable economic growth in both Jordan and the EU. The minister emphasized that the conference will serve as a platform to strengthen economic ties, explore new investment opportunities, and advance shared development objectives between the two sides.
