German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier met with Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto at the Merdeka Palace in Jakarta to discuss strengthening bilateral economic ties. President Steinmeier expressed strong support for accelerating the ratification of the Indonesia-European Union Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (IEU-CEPA). Once finalized, the agreement will eliminate up to 90% of customs duties, opening significant avenues for investment, particularly for German small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in Indonesia.
