Kazakh PM orders affordable air, rail fares to resort destinationsKazakh Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov has ordered measures to increase the frequency of flights and train services to popular tourist destinations."The public has raised concerns about limited transport access to popular and remote tourist destinations. There are worries about the shortage and affordability of air and rail tickets," Bektenov told a government meeting on Tuesday.He instructed the Transport Ministry, together with airlines and the national railway carrier, to increase the number of flights and seats to popular resort destinations at affordable prices.The prime minister also noted that during peak tourist season, there is an acute shortage of accommodations."Many people use unequipped recreation sites. Regional governors need to quickly ensure appropriate infrastructure for campsites or areas for tent camping and RVs," he said.Bektenov also directed the Tourism and Sports Ministry, along with regional authorities and tour operators, to improve the quality of tourist services.
