Kazakhstan’s international reserves grew 1.2% in May, 3.6% year to dateThe international reserves of Kazakhstan, including gross reserves of the National Bank and the assets of the National Fund, stood at $133.98 billion as of May 31, 2026 or an increase of 1.2% from the previous month and a rise of 3.6% from the beginning of this year, the National Bank said.The assets of the National Fund stood at $66.37 billion as of the end of May 2026 or up 2.4% from April of this year.In May 2026, the gross international reserves of the National Bank edged up by 0.1% to total $67.60 billion compared with the previous month, including $15.05 billion worth of currency assets (up 1.5%) and $52.55 worth of gold reserves (down 0.3%). The net international reserves of the National Bank were at $65.54 billion tenge or no change from the previous month. (ICE ALMATY)
