Driven by 108 large-scale exhibitions and conferences, the sector attracted 2.18 million attendees, including nearly 947,000 international visitors whose extended stays and higher average spending (averaging $2,696 per event) significantly boosted local industries like accommodation, travel, and retail. This surging economic activity supported over 94,000 jobs—a 10% year-on-year increase—and demonstrated a powerful multiplier effect where every AED 1 spent at a DWTC event generated AED 5.5 in total economic output.
