UKRAINE: CONTINUED GROWTH AND DIVERSIFICATION IN BAKERY AND BISCUIT IMPORTS IN EARLY 2026

In January–April 2026, Ukraine imported €49.80 million worth of bakery, pastry, and biscuit products, reflecting a robust 10.4% increase compared to the same period in 2025.Poland maintained its lead as the top supplier, exporting €16.78 million and securing a 33.69% market share with a growth of 6.57%. The Netherlands rose to second place, delivering €4.46 million and achieving a 21.97% increase, which brought its market share to 8.95%. Romania posted the strongest gains among leading suppliers, expanding exports by 70.17% to €4.10 million (market share: 8.24%).Bulgaria also showed notable momentum, increasing shipments by 53.67% to €4.15 million (8.34% market share). Italy continued its steady growth, with exports rising 5.36% to €3.60 million, accounting for 7.23% of Ukraine’s market.While Germany remained among the leading exporters, imports from Germany fell 10.67% to €4.19 million (8.41% market share).
