The Ministry of Industry reports that Indonesia’s Industrial Confidence Index reached 51.75 points in April 2026, marking continued expansion for the manufacturing sector. Out of twenty three subsectors analyzed, sixteen recorded growth, contributing nearly 79 percent to the total manufacturing GDP. The tobacco and paper industries emerged as the strongest performers. While variables like new orders and production slowed slightly, product inventory saw an increase. Export oriented companies remained in expansionary territory despite minor dips, while domestic market performance improved.
