INDONESIA'S GREEN ENERGY PROJECTS ATTRACTIVE FOR FOREIGN INVESTORS
Indonesia’s green energy development projects are increasingly attractive to foreign investors, according to Indonesia's Investment and Downstreaming Minister Rosan Roeslani. He noted that interest in clean energy investments is rising as they align with global investors’ sustainability goals and Indonesia’s policy priorities. Key initiatives include the accelerated conversion of diesel power plants to solar power, in line with President Prabowo Subianto’s directive to expand solar capacity to 100 GW, as well as growing interest from Japanese investors in geothermal power plant projects. Rosan emphasized that green energy investments are expected to generate broader benefits, particularly job creation, and that the government is open to providing incentives not only based on investment size but also on employment impact. Indonesia remains committed to supporting renewable energy development through facilities and incentives, while pursuing its climate commitment to accelerate the Net Zero Emission target from 2060 to 2050.Source: https://en.antaranews.com/news/413387/ris-green-energy-projects-attractive-for-foreign-investors-minister (ICE GIACARTA)
