MARITIME TRAFFIC CONTINUES AT IRAQI PORTS

The Iraqi Ministry of Transport has reported continued arrivals of cargo vessels at Iraqi ports during March, reflecting ongoing maritime trade activity despite regional tensions.According to the ministry, maritime agencies of the State Company for Maritime Transport (SCMT) have continued to provide services to incoming vessels, while cargo handling operations are managed by the General State Company for Ports of Iraq in line with international standards.Among the vessels received:SJ BOSS carrying 50 containers of bagged goods from the UAE, registered in PanamaSSF VALENCE berthed at quay 27 with 957 containers from the UAE, registered in St. VincentSEA PEARL (voyage 0526)OCEAN PEARLQUEEN BAYOBE HEARTG FORCEShahryar, received at Abu Flous PortAt Umm Qasr South Port, cargo distribution included:Quay 1: OCEAN PEARL loaded with wheatQuay 2: QUEEN BAY carrying sugar and wheatQuay 4: G FORCE loaded with maizeQuay 7: OBE HEART carrying wheatThe ministry said continued vessel traffic highlights Iraq's ability to sustain maritime trade flows and maintain port operations under current regional conditions.
