INDONESIA SETS RULES LIMITING USE OF AI FOR SCHOOLCHILDREN
Indonesia introduced a joint ministerial decree on 13 March 2026, signed by seven ministers, regulating the use of digital technology and artificial intelligence in education from early childhood through to higher education. The policy aims to maximise the benefits of technology in learning whilst protecting young people from risks such as mental health issues and reduced critical thinking, with Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Cultural Affairs Pratikno citing academic evidence linking uncontrolled technology use to rising mental health problems among teenagers.Source: https://en.antaranews.com/amp/news/408083/indonesia-sets-rules-for-ai-digital-tech-use-in-education (ICE GIACARTA)
