Energy Minister Mohammad al-Bashir met with Nathalie Fustier, acting UN Resident and Humanitarian Coordinator in Syria, to discuss priority issues in the country’s energy sector, the ministry said.  According to a statement posted on the ministry’s Telegram channel, the meeting in Damascus focused on ways to strengthen cooperation with UN agencies and humanitarian partners.  The talks addressed the development of programs and projects aimed at improving energy services and supporting infrastructure across the sector.  Both sides emphasized the importance of continued coordination to achieve sustainable results that respond to community needs and support recovery efforts while improving services.  The discussions are part of ongoing coordination between Syria and the United Nations to strengthen the energy sector and enhance its sustainability as part of broader recovery and reconstruction efforts.   (ICE BEIRUT)
